Sen. Leahy Issues Statement on Agreement to Fund Federal Government in FY 2020

WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, vice chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement on the agreement to fund the federal government in fiscal 2020:

"This week we reached a bipartisan, bicameral agreement to fund the federal government in fiscal year 2020. The agreement rejects the devastating and short-sighted cuts proposed by President Trump, and makes historic investments in the American people and working families.
