WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- Rep. Paul Mitchell, R-Michigan, issued the following statement after voting in favor of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 1158) and Further Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 1865):
"The most fundamental duty of Congress is funding the government, and while I am pleased an agreement was reached on the FY2020 appropriations packages, I do not believe we should be taking a bow. Again, Congress needed a last-minute agreement to fund the federal go . . .
