WASHINGTON, Dec. 4 -- Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following opening remarks at the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations hearing entitled "Flu Season: U.S. Public Health Preparedness and Response":
