AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 3 -- The Republican Party of Texas issued the following news:
Governor Greg Abbott sent a letter to Texas State Agencies in which he gave them a deadline of December 1st to come up with a plan to limit regulations and cut fees on occupational-licensing rules. In the letter, the Governor requested that agencies remove licensing barriers for those with a criminal record "where appropriate."
