AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 15 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Francisco Cigarroa, M.D. to the Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force for a term at the pleasure of the Governor. Additionally, the Governor named him chair of the task force. The task force coordinates implementation of the state's plan for prevention, early screening, diagnosis, and management of chronic kidney disease and educates health care professionals.
