FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas, Nov. 6 -- The Republican Party of Texas issued the following statement by Chairman James Dickey runoff in the House District 28 Special Election:
The polls officially closed yesterday in the House District 28 Special Election to fill the seat vacated by Representative John Zerwas. There were seven candidates in the race and Republican Gary Gates and Democrat Eliz Markowitz have advanced to the runoff.
