WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement recognizing the 40th anniversary of the Iran hostage crisis:
"Today marks the 40th anniversary of the beginning of the Iran Hostage Crisis, when thugs backed by the Ayatollahs seized Americans working in Iran and held them hostage. Fifty-two of the hostages were held captive for 444 days, until January 20, 1981, when President Ronald Reagan was inaugu . . .
