NEWARK, New Jersey, Oct. 25 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Craig Carpenito, issued the following news release:

A Plainfield, New Jersey, tax preparer was sentenced today to 30 months in prison for conspiring to defraud the IRS, falsifying his tax returns, and witness tampering, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.
