RALEIGH, North Carolina, Oct. 7 -- The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources issued the following news release:
The state's highest civilian honor, the North Carolina Award, will be presented to six distinguished North Carolinians Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Raleigh Convention Center.
