CLARENDON, Texas, Sept. 30 -- The Republican Party of Texas issued the following news:
U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry served the people of Congressional District 13 ably and with great commitment. First elected in 1994, he defeated Democrat Bill Sarpalius. He was the first Texan from either party to become Chair of the House Armed Forces Committee where he fought hard for our men and women in uniform.
He currently serves as the Dean of the Texas Republican Delegatio . . .
