ARLINGTON, Virginia, Sept. 26 -- Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, issued the following statement ahead of the dedication for the USS Thresher Monument at Arlington National Cemetery:
"A little more than 55 years ago, 129 men tragically lost their lives aboard the USS Thresher. The USS Thresher Monument at Arlington National Cemetery will serve as a lasting tribute to their tremendous sacrifice, and it is an honor to join in its dedication.
