WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Nebraska, issued the following statement after the Senate voted on a resolution disapproving of President Trump's border emergency declaration, which directs funds to support a border wall:
"I voted against the disapproval resolution today because I believe the president has the legal authority to make this emergency declaration to secure our border."
