WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Rep. Adrian Smith, R-Nebraska, issued the following statement regarding the completion of the so-called "phase one" of a trade agreement by the U.S. and Japan:
"This agreement is a huge win for U.S. agriculture, bringing Japanese tariff rates on U.S. agriculture in line with our competitors and relieving a burden for our farmers and producers.
