WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 -- Rep. Andy Levin, D-Michigan, issued the following statement on reports that President Trump plans to revoke California's legal authority to set tailpipe emission rules:
"This is a spiteful move by the President to punish a state that didn't vote for him, and to erase President Obama's legacy.
"Private companies are working with states to establish fuel standards that are workable and that will reduce pollution aggressively.
