WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 -- Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following opening remarks at the Subcommittee on Health hearing entitled "Improving Maternal Health: Legislation to Advance Prevention Efforts and Access to Care":
