Patty Murray, D-Washington, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, issued the following statement in response to census data showing the uninsured rate jumped from 7.9 percent to 8.5 percent from 2017 to 2018 with nearly 2 million more people going without insurance in 2019:
