WASHINGTON, Sept. 4 -- Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Illinois, issued the following statement after the Trump administration announced that it will reprogram $3.6 billion in funding intended for military construction projects to build the border wall:
"This inappropriate move makes it crystal clear that Donald Trump cares more about appearing to keep his ridiculous campaign promises than he does about keeping the nation's promises to our troops.
