CONCORD, New Hampshire, Aug. 30 -- The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services issued the following news release:
A possible toxin-producing cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) bloom has been observed on the lake, and the water appears green and turbid. The cyanobacteria were identified as picocyanobacteria, tiny cells of cyanobacteria that are less than 3 microns in diameter. These types do not typically form surface scums, but concentrations were estimated above 70,000 cel . . .
