JACKSON, Mississippi, Aug. 29 -- Jackson Public Schools issued the following news, dated Aug. 26:
The Mississippi Department of Education announced in August that it has added nearly 200 experienced and highly regarded professionals to serve on the Mississippi Teacher Council (MTC). Among them are four teachers from JPS elementary schools. Tamora McConnell of Power APAC, Margaret Price of Galloway, Dr. Doris Stocks of Isable and Dorothy Straughter of Van Winkle joined the MTC in 201 . . .
