Approximately 19,000 students around the world have studied Tokyo Tech's Modern Japanese Architecture MOOC* since it launched in 2016. On July 24, 2019, Modern Japanese Architecture Part 1: From Meiji Restoration to the Pacific Warouter, a renewed version of the popular online course, was released on the edX platform.
