ASHLAND CITY, Tennessee, Aug. 22 -- The A.O. Smith, a manufacturer of residential and commercial water heaters and boilers, issued the following news:

In an effort to encourage and celebrate scholastic achievement, the A. O. Smith Foundation today announced the awards of 24 global merit scholarships to employees' children pursuing higher education.
