CONCORD, New Hampshire, Aug. 21 -- The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services issued the following news release:
A cyanobacteria bloom has been observed on Wicwas Lake in Meredith, NH. The bloom appeared as tiny blue-green specks in the water, accumulating along a few of the shorelines. Samples collected on 8/19 exceeded the State threshold of 70,000 cells/ml of cyanobacteria. Water samples contained 466,675 cells/ml of cyanobacteria, containing varieties of Anabaena/Dol . . .
