HONOLULU, Hawaii, Aug. 15 -- Gov. David Ige, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release:

Gov. David Ige has appointed Morris M. Atta as the Department of Agriculture's deputy director, effective Aug. 22, 2019 .

Morris is the current agriculture land program manager/administrator, overseeing the department's establishment of a land management infrastructure to manage the state's agricultural land assets effectively.
