Sen. Hassan Issues Statement on Canadian Drug Importation

WASHINGTON, July 31 -- Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, issued the following statement in response to the announcement from the Health and Human Services Department and Food and Drug Administration of a proposal that would allow the importation of prescription drugs from Canada and other countries:
"The stories I hear from constituents struggling to afford prescription drugs are totally outrageous - they shouldn't have to drive to Canada, or struggle to keep the lights on, . . .
