WASHINGTON, July 24 -- Rep. Andy Levin, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Congressman Andy Levin's bill, the Equal Dignity for Married Taxpayers Act, was included in the PRIDE Act that passed the House today.
The House of Representatives today passed the PRIDE Act, which includes the language of Congressman Andy Levin's Equal Dignity for Married Taxpayers Act that updates the tax code to remove outdated, gendered language to describe married couples.
