TALLAHASSEE, Florida, July 24 -- The Florida Democratic Party issued the following statement by Chair Terrie Rizzo after the Republicans blocked the Venezuela Temporary Protected Status Act in the House:
"Republicans like to talk a good game when it comes to standing up for Venezuelans fleeing Maduro's dictatorship, but when it comes time to take real action they have refused to take it.
"It is shameful they have put their own interests above providing relief . . .
