WASHINGTON, July 23 -- Sen. Richard J. Durbin, D-Illinois, issued the following news release:
The U.S. Senate today unanimously passed a resolution honoring the life of Justice John Paul Stevens, who passed away last week at the age of 99. The resolution was introduced by U.S. Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL). Justice Stevens served on the Supreme Court for nearly 35 years.
