Reports on Hong Kong, Macau, and Tibet are appended at the end of this report. Given the scope and severity of reported religious freedom violations specific to Xinjiang this year, a separate section on the region is also included in this report.The constitution states citizens have freedom of religious belief but limits protections for religious practice to "normal religious activities" . . .
