NASHVILLE, Tennessee, June 21 -- Tennessee State University issued the following news:
Tennessee State University will receive $2 million to support retention of academically high achieving students from underserved communities.
The funds were included in Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee's budget during the recent legislative session, and approved by state lawmakers. The money will be received as a lump sum with the fiscal year beginning July 1.
