WASHINGTON, June 20 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement on the National Taxpayer Advocate's annual report:
"The National Taxpayer Advocate's report highlights the harm caused by a decade of Republican budget cuts.
"In addition to plummeting audits of the wealthy, IRS customer service is woefully inadequate, particularly when taxpayers with complex issues want to speak . . .
