WASHINGTON, June 20 -- The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee issued the following statement by Chairman Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, at a hearing entitled "Outside Perspectives on the Collection of Beneficial Ownership Information":
"Today, the Committee will continue its discussion of how better collection of beneficial ownership information can deter such problems as money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions evasion through anonymous shell compan . . .
