WASHINGTON, June 19 -- Rep. Tomaz Malinowski, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release:
Today, the House passed a sweeping appropriations package to fund the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education agencies, including $50 million for gun violence research. Federal research on firearm injury and mortality prevention has not been funded since 1996, making this a landmark occasion.
