AUSTIN, Texas, June 18 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Jerry Romero to the Texas Workforce Investment Council for a term set to expire on September 1, 2019.
The Council engages in a collaborative, systematic view of workforce development programs throughout the state and provides for planning, evaluation, research, and other functions related to 19 workforce programs.
