WASHINGTON, June 18 -- Reps. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Anna G. Eshoo, D-California, chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Health, issued the following joint statement after the House passed the Empowering Beneficiaries, Ensuring Access and Strengthening Accountability Act (H.R. 3253) by a 371-46 vote:
