WASHINGTON, June 17 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following statement after the decision by Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam to suspend consideration of the controversial extradition bill:
"The decision to suspend the extradition bill's reading is a positive step but inadequate to address the continued, worrying erosion of Hong Kong's autonomy by the Chinese Communist Party.
