WASHINGTON, May 15 -- EMILY's List issued the following statement:
Yesterday, Alabama Senate Republicans approved a measure to outlaw almost all abortions in the state, setting up a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade. In response, Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILY's List, released the following statement:
"Republicans in Alabama just passed a near-total ban on abortion, joining Republicans in other states trying to do the same thing and the Republicans . . .
