BATON ROUGE, Louisiana, April 17 -- The Louisiana Democratic Party issued the following news release:
On Tuesday, AG Jeff Landry released his campaign finance report listing all donors to his 2019 re-election campaign. Among those was a $2,500 donation from Citigroup, a group Landry is quoted as calling "fascism at its best". Landry used this justification to deny this private business' participation in a $600M bond sale to fund road and interstate expansions.
