COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 4 -- The Ohio Democratic Party issued the following statement by Chairman David Pepper responding to the House vote to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act:
"Today Steve Chabot voted against protecting women and children from dangerous domestic abusers. And it's clear why -- Chabot has taken big campaign checks from the NRA, which opposed the bill because it will close the 'boyfriend' loophole and ensure any intimate partner or former . . .
