FDP Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement after Donald Trump's announcement Friday:
"The Trump shutdown has caused unnecessary hardship for thousands of Floridians.
"Today's deal could have been made in December, but instead the President used federal workers and the US military as pawns in a political chess match that he lost.
