SANTA FE, New Mexico, Jan. 3 -- The New Mexico Democratic Party issued the following statement:

Today, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham issued an executive order directing the New Mexico Public Education Department to end use of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers standardized test, commonly known as PARCC. Marg Elliston, Chair of the Democratic Party of New Mexico, praised the action:
