WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Michigan, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee, issued the following statement on the Department of Agriculture's proposed rule, which would increase obstacles for families participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program:
