WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 -- Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following statement on the death of President George H.W. Bush:
"President Bush was a statesman and a gentleman who served his country in a several important roles with dedication. As a fighter pilot in World War II, congressman, CIA director, vice president and president, he led a life of public service.
