WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 -- Rep. Ron Estes, R-Kansas, issued the following statement on the death of President George H.W. Bush:

"Susan and I join our nation in mourning the passing of President George H. W. Bush.President Bush leaves behind an enduring record of selfless public service from his heroic tenure in the U.S. Navy, and as an ambassador, director of the CIA, Vice President and Commander in Chief.
