WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 -- Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, issued the following statement on the death of President George H.W. Bush:
"Former President George H.W. Bush served our country as a Naval aviator in World War II, Congressman, Ambassador to China, UN Ambassador, CIA Director, Vice President, and as the President of the United States.
