SACRAMENTO, California, Dec. 1 -- The California Senate Republicans issued the following statement by Senate Republican Leader Patricia Bates, R-Laguna Niguel, on the death of President George H.W. Bush:
"My thoughts and prayers are with the Bush family as they mourn the loss of President George H.W. Bush, whose extraordinary life inspired many in his family to serve others.
