State Board of Elections Absentee Ballot Requests Show Democratic Voter Surge

SILVER SPRING, Maryland, Oct. 11 -- Ben Jealous, a former National President and CEO of the NAACP, a Democrat running for Maryland Governor, issued the following campaign news release:

According to latest data available from the Maryland State Board of Elections, there have been 70,374 absentee ballot requests sent in through Tuesday, October 9, with 65% of those requests coming from registered Democratic voters. This is a huge 96% increase over the 35,960 requested ballots at this . . .
