DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 27 -- Gov. Kim Reynolds, R-Iowa, issued the following news release:

Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation Wednesday declaring September 26, 2018, as Robert D. Ray Day in Iowa. Robert D. Ray was elected as Iowa's 38th governor in 1968, and his leadership touched the lives of generations of Iowans on dozens of fronts and reached global impact on several occasions. September 26 would have been the former governor's 90th birthday.
