MONTPELIER, Vermont, Sept. 25 -- The Vermont Democratic Party issued the following news release:

The State Committee of the Vermont Democratic Party has officially endorsed the following candidates for statewide office in Vermont:

United States Senator: Bernie Sanders

United States Representative: Peter Welch

Governor: Christine Hallquist

Lieutenant Governor: David Zuckerman

Treasurer: Beth Pearce
