ROCKVILLE, Maryland, Sept. 6 -- The American Kidney Fund issued the following statement by President and CEO LaVarne A. Burton:

"The American Kidney Fund (AKF) is urging New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to sign the Living Donor Protection Act of 2018, sponsored by Sen. Kemp Hannon (6th Senate District) and Aileen Gunther (Assembly District 100).
"If passed this bill would not only protect organ donors but would also encourage living organ dona . . .
