Time to Leave Leftovers at the Table

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, Sept. 5 -- The University of Michigan issued the following news release:

If you're hoping to lose weight by just eating half of what's on your plate and saving the rest for later, you could be waiting a while.

The reason: as portions have grown, so, too, have leftovers.

"We know that growing portion sizes increase consumption, but grossly enlarged portions also cause consumers to face more and more food leftovers," said Aradhn . . .
